Arrivy & SugarCRM
Arrivy’s integration with SugarCRM allows Sugar users to easily create Arrivy tasks for leads and contacts in Sugar. This tool lets service and field sales businesses leverage Arrivy’s location-powered customer/crew notifications and real-time connectivity features with their favourite CRM.
- Download and install the Arrivy SugarExchange package
- Once installed, you will find “Arrivy Plugin Configurations” at the end of your Administration page.
Connecting SugarCRM and Arrivy
The first step in connecting Arrivy and SugarCRM is setting up the Integration Keys to enable Sugar to authenticate with Arrivy. Clicking the Integration Keys link opens the following form.
You can get the integration keys when logged into Arrivy from the API page.
Mapping Sugar and Arrivy fields
The next step is mapping the contact and lead fields in SugarCRM to appropriate Arrivy fields. This ensures that the data sent in Arrivy tasks is structured properly.
Note: If you don’t want to change anything, you still need to save default mappings. You can modify them anytime later.
The image below shows the mapping view. The left column shows Arrivy fields and on the right are the fields from the Leads and Contacts objects in Sugar.
Using the Arrivy and SugarCRM integration plugin
At this point you are ready to use the Arrivy/SugarCRM integration which lets you easily create Arrivy tasks from SugarCRM using the data in Leads and Contacts.
Creating Arrivy Tasks from SugarCRM
To generate Arrivy Tasks from SugarCRM data, go to the record view of any Contact or Lead and click the “Send Lead to Arrivy” button.
This will open up an Arrivy Task creation form pre-populated with values according to the supplied mapping in the configuration. You can modify any values you want.
Note: Please do not change the keys of Additional addresses. You can change the values as you wish.
Once you have reviewed the changes, clicking Save will create an “Unscheduled Task” in Arrivy. These tasks show up under Tasks > Unscheduled Tasks.
Viewing Tasks in Sugar
The Arrivy tasks created via Sugar are accessible from two different views:
- The subpanel under Contacts or Leads
- Using the Separate Arrivy Tasks Module
Note: Clicking the Arrivy URL for each task will open the appropriate Task in Arrivy showing details and status.
The SugarCRM plugin is undergoing active development. If you have comments or feature suggestions, please reach out to our support team at email@example.com.
