Activities

Activities are a special flavor of Task that let you create notes or reminders that will appear on the Dashboard, in Calendar views and within the Arrivy mobile app. Activities are intended to be used for non-work items such as to-do’s and are not used in the calculation of Task/travel time or other metrics in Arrivy’s Reporting module.

You must be an Admin or Scheduler in order to create Activities. You can create new Activities from the Create New Task button on the Dashboard or Tasks views.

The New Activity page lets you define the type of Activity (Note, Appointment, Call, To-Do, Break, Email). Note that these different “types” are strictly mnemonic tools–they only change the icon displayed next to the Activity title.

You can associate the Activity with a customer and/or assign it to a Team member. You can provide explanatory text, attach files to an Activity and give it a specific date and time. Activities appear in Dashboard and Calendar views interspersed with Tasks (and ordered by time). “All Day” activities appear at the top of the list.

When an Activity is created it is initialized as NOT STARTED. Activities have a single COMPLETE status button you can use to mark an Activity as complete.

Activities are available through Arrivy’s mobile apps as well as the desktop interface. Like Tasks, Activities must be created via the Arrivy Web app, but they can be interacted with on both iOS and Android devices.
